It started with one question: Why is something so important so hard to get right?

After watching his child go through the NICU and repeated hospital stays, GloWash founder Chris knew just how much handwashing could matter.

But he kept noticing the same thing: people would wash for only a few seconds, miss spots, and walk away thinking their hands were clean.

He kept asking himself, why?

Then came the realization that would eventually become GloWash:

We can't see what we're missing.

So instead of another reminder about how to wash, Chris wanted to create a way to make the invisible visible, something that could show kids and families where their handwashing needed a little more attention.

That idea became GloWash.

What is GloWash?

GloWash is a visual handwashing learning tool that lets kids see the spots they missed. Apply the UV-reactive lotion, wash hands normally, then use the included UV light to reveal where a little more washing is needed.

Who is it for?

GloWash is designed for kids ages 2+ and can be used at home, in classrooms, daycares and other learning environments.

Is it safe?

Yes! Skin-safe, non-toxic lotion and a gentle UV light. Tested under the control of a dermatologist it is considered non-irritant and hypo-allergenic, suitable for sensitive skin.

Does it stain?

The lotion washes away with soap and water and is designed not to stain skin or fabrics.

How long will a bottle last?

Each 175 mL bottle contains roughly 80 pumps, and most uses only need 1–2 pumps.

How long it lasts is really up to you! Use GloWash as little or as often as it works for your family, whether that’s an occasional handwashing check-in, part of your regular routine, or just whenever you want a fun refresher.
